Professional job search platform Apna has raised $70 million funding in a series-B round led by Insight Partners and Tiger Global. Existing investors, Sequoia Capital India, Lightspeed India, Green oaks Capital and Rocketship VC also participated in the round.

Over the last month, Apna has facilitated more than 15 million job interviews and work-related conversations where users have helped each other to start a business, find a gig or learn a new skill. We are still in the early stages of solving the problem and are excited to continue on this journey with the backing of our new partners.”
The startup says it partners with companies including Zomato, Urban Company, and Kirloskar. Currently, the startup has a presence in seven regions including Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, Bengaluru, Jaipur, and Ranchi.
According to VCCEdge, Apna.co in November 2019 raised $2 million (around Rs 14.3 crore) in a seed round from Sequoia India and Lightspeed. Other peers in the blue and grey-collar recruitment space include startups like Able Jobs, MyKaam and WorkIndia.
