In the well-known copyright infringement lawsuit, Kuku FM, an audio streaming service, and rival Pocket FM reached a settlement. The incident occurs about seven months after Pocket FM complained to the Delhi High Court that Kuku FM had violated copyright rules by publishing audio summaries of a few books for which the former held an exclusive licence. The agreement was signed on December 16, 2022, and on December 21, 2022, it was submitted to the court. As part of the accord, Kuku FM would dismiss the lawsuit it filed against Pocket FM for copyright infringement on a book about Mossad. In May 2021, Pocket FM filed a case with the Delhi High Court requesting that Kuku FM refrain from releasing book title summaries and violating its exclusive rights.
