Beginning in March 2023, Apple will charge more for replacing the batteries in out-of-warranty iPhones, iPads, and MacBooks. The price increases for various device models range from $20 to $50.
Reddit users became aware of the modification and pointed out that Apple had subtly made the change on the pages for certain devices’ repairs. The company states on the page for iPhone battery replacement and repair that the current out-of-warranty battery service fee will be in effect until the end of February 2023. “Effective March 1, 2023, the out-of-warranty battery service fee for all iPhone models prior to iPhone 14 will increase by $20.
