The removal of accounts created only to promote other social media sites and of information that contains links or usernames was announced by Twitter on Sunday.
According to a tweet from Twitter support, the move would apply to content from Facebook and Instagram owned by Meta Platforms as well as Mastodon, Truth Social, Tribel, Nostr, and Post. It would also permit cross-content publishing. Since Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, bought the social network, Twitter has displayed additional unusual behaviour that has led to the change in policy. While choosing how much to charge for Twitter Blue, the company’s subscription service, he sacked top executives and let thousands of employees go.
