Google bought the artificial intelligence startup Alter. The IT firm reportedly paid $100 million, or around Rs 822 crore, according to media sources. Alter is a firm that makes avatars for social media users and brands to express their virtual personalities using artificial intelligence.
It has been reported in the media that this would be done to up the content game and compete with the short-video platform TikTok. Although the deals were finished two months ago, none of the businesses made a public announcement. Additionally, staff members have changed their Linkedin profiles to reflect their new roles at Google. A corporation called Alter has offices in both the Czech Republic and the United States. It was started by Robin Raszka and Jon Slimak. Custom emojis are now supported in Google Chat for a more individualised experience.
