Elon Musk’s OpenAI chatbot, ChatGPT hit 1 million users

The world’s richest man Elon Musk and Sam Altman formed OpenAI, an independent research organisation, which on Wednesday last week debuted a chatbot called ChatGPT. In just one week, the service’s user base had topped 1 million.

The chatbot has dominated online communication. This platform’s human-like reactions and prompt responses have caught the attention of the internet. ChatGPT is a chatbot that was programmed using machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI). It responds to queries, communicates as though to humans, comprehends normal human language, and does so. It gets its name from the acronym GPT, or Generative Pre-Trained Transformer. It is a deep learning language model that excels at creating writing that resembles human speech.
