The previous two days have seen a complete halt in Dunzo Daily’s rapid commerce activities in Bengaluru, the company’s main market, as its delivery employees have gone on strike in opposition to modifications to its delivery policy. Dunzo is supported by Reliance Retail.
The 20-minute delivery service, Dunzo Daily, was still not operational in many areas of Bengaluru as of Thursday afternoon.
An app message read, “Dunzo Daily will be back in a while.”
A single delivery worker is given many orders to serve in a single trip under the company’s new “batching of orders” promotion strategy. Dunzo has also made internal technology adjustments to the way orders are picked and sent to delivery partners, adding to the conflict with the business.
