Chargebee’s backers plan to sell stakes worth $1.5 billion

According to reports, Chargebee’s investors are in discussions with potential and current institutional investors about selling a portion of their company interest.
The sale of the stake’s specifics, however, has not yet been confirmed. According to sources who spoke with Mint, “the early-stage investors (of Chargebee) are offering the stake at a substantial price.” As a result, the startup’s valuation may only be $1.5 billion. The announcement comes just one month after Inc42 revealed that 142 employees, or 10% of Chargebee’s staff, were let go. With a post-money valuation of $3.5 billion, the unicorn SaaS company completed a $250 million investment round in February.
