CCPA issued notices to Flipkart & Meesho for selling corrosive acids on their websites

Flipkart and Meesho have received notifications from the Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) for selling corrosive acids on their websites.
The CCPA gave them a seven-day deadline to give comprehensive responses because it was worried about how easy it was to access such acids on the platforms. Within seven days, Flipkart and Meesho must provide thorough responses. An acid assault on a 17-year-old Delhi school student occurred barely two days prior to the development. On Thursday, Flipkart and Amazon received notifications from the Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) for selling corrosive substances on their websites.
