On Monday, December 5, Bharti Airtel announced a partnership with Meta Platforms, the parent company of Facebook, WhatsApp, and Instagram, to enable the extension of the subsea cable system “2Africa Pearls” to India in order to support the development of India’s digital ecosystem and the country’s demand for high-speed internet.
The longest underwater cable system in the world, 2Africa Pearls, is anticipated to give nearly 3 billion people worldwide better internet access. The businesses will work with Saudi Telecommunication Company to grow 2Africa Pearls. Additionally, Airtel said that it would integrate WhatsApp from Meta into its CPaaS platform, Airtel IQ.
