CEO Elon Musk dragged the Indian government into a legal battle with microblogging platform Twitter

Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, involved the Indian government in a legal dispute with Twitter over a failed takeover attempt.

In a countersuit filed in Delaware Chancery Court, Musk alleged that Twitter had engaged in “risky” legal action against the Indian government, endangering the third-largest market for the social media platform. Musk was making reference to Twitter’s lawsuit filed on July 5 against the Union government on specific takedown requests. The matter is currently being heard by the Karnataka High Court. In response to Musk’s assertion, Twitter counsel admitted that the company filed a lawsuit against the Indian government, but said that none of these choices needed the approval of the Tesla CEO. The countersuit’s most significant revelation was that Twitter refuted Musk’s assertion that India was its third-largest market. Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, responded after saying that any probe might result in the suspension of services in the nation, making it an MAE (material adverse event).
