Sanjeev Bikhchandani, cofounder of Info Edge, was reappointed by foodtech giant Zomato as a non-executive director on its board.
The resolution was approved at Zomato’s annual general meeting (AGM), which was convened for the first time on August 30th after the firm went public, according to stock exchange filings. Zomato’s stakeholders acknowledged its audited financial results for FY21–22 during the AGM. During the AGM, 6.1 billion shareholders, or 98.9%, voted to re-appoint Bikhchandani as the startup’s non-executive director, while 67.4 million shareholders, or 1.09%, abstained. On September 2nd, Zomato was trading at INR 59.70 on the Bombay Stock Exchange at the time of filing the report.
