After Elon Musk joined a group chat with journalists who had been banned from the site, Twitter appears to have temporarily disabled its Spaces group audio feature.
The most recent crisis occurs after Twitter suspended a number of well-known journalists who covered a previous story about the Elon Jet Twitter account, which was shut down for using publicly accessible data to monitor Elon Musk’s private jet. It turns out that Twitter appears to have a glitch that permits users who have been banned to still take part in Twitter Spaces and communicate with other users, which some of the banned users did. A group chat was created by BuzzFeed reporter Katie Notopoulos yesterday evening, and several other journalists who had their Twitter accounts suspended joined.
