Today, Meta released a number of new creator improvements for Facebook and Instagram. The company’s most significant disclosure was that Instagram artists will soon have the ability to build their own NFTs and sell them directly to fans on and off Instagram. Creators will now have access to a toolkit that will help them create, present, and market NFTs. Polygon has been selected by Meta as the initial partner for this feature. Users of Instagram will be able to buy the NFTs directly from the app. The procedure will be carried out through customary in-app purchases for iOS and Android, claims Meta. Additionally, Instagram is not yet deducting a percentage of the creators’ earnings. With the intention of bringing it to more nations in the future, Meta is now testing this new functionality with a select group of American creators.
