According to Rajeev Chandrasekhar, Minister of State for Electronics and IT, who recently addressed at the India Ideas Summit hosted by the US-India Business Council, the final version of the Information Technology (IT) Rules, 2021, with the new law is anticipated soon.
“We will see a very modern, very global standard set of laws that enable our trillion-dollar goal, Prime Minister Modi’s technological vision, and protect the rights and interests of all Indian citizens.”
Chandrasekhar continued by stating that the administration would discuss with the public and various stakeholders before reintroducing the data protection bill.
