The $37 million Series A funding for the fashion firm Virgio was headed by Prosus Ventures, Accel, and Alpha Wave. According to reports, the startup is worth $161 million.
By mass producing popular things, Virgio uses a test-and-scale methodology to close the gap between designers and customers. The business will utilise the money to grow its staff and create new technology. As part of the ongoing investment round, Prosus contributed $10 million to Virgio last week in exchange for a 6.25% share in the firm. AlphaWave made an approximately INR 60 Cr ($7.25 Mn) investment in the firm, and Accel India made an undisclosed investment for a 16.29% interest.
