Zoom seeking government approval to launch phone calling service in India

Zoom, a US-based communications platform, has requested authorization from the Indian government to introduce its phone service in the country.

We’re developing a function called Zoom Phone, which is very well-liked all over the world. Zoom’s Asia Pacific CEO, Ricky Kapur, stated in an interview, “We’re going through a regulatory procedure to have it launched in India.”

The particular types of licences and certifications that the corporation needs have not yet been made public. Voice-over-internet-protocol (VoIP) phone calls will be made using the cloud-based Zoom technology. Additionally, it just introduced a virtual conference platform named “Zoom Events” in India, concentrating on the communications sector in that country.
