Rigi, a platform that allows content creators to monetise their communities, raised $12.5 million in funding led by venture capital firm Elevation Capital, with participation from Accel, Stellaris, Sequoia Capital, and angel investors including former Indian cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni, CRED’s Kunal Shah, NoBroker’s Amit Kumar Agarwal, Country Delight’s Chakradhar Gade, and social media influencer Sharan Hegde, among others.
Celebrities, influencers, and creators can establish, run, and monetize their communities with the help of Rigi. It offers a variety of services to those who produce knowledge-based content, including Telegram and WhatsApp monetization tools for managing subscriptions. The platform also gives creators the ability to charge for private lessons, provide recorded courses, and organise live webinars for their audience. Rigi will utilise the extra money to create tools for many new kinds of content creators. After recently entering Indonesia, the business will also use the cash to expand to other foreign regions. According to projections, India’s market for content creation will rise from an expected $13.4 billion in 2022 to $47.2 billion in 2032, at a CAGR of 12.2%.
