The Supreme Court ruled that it would keep under seal any information on claims that Israeli spyware Pegasus was used by the government to surveil its citizens.
The court opened the sealed covers, and we perused some of the reports inside. The Reports were then re-sealed and given to the Secretary General of this Court, who will keep them safe and make them available as needed, according to a Supreme Court order. The reports in question concern a technical committee’s and the overseeing judge RV Raveendran’s (an ex-SC judge) submissions on August 9 on allegations of surveillance by the union government.
