Media reports state that tech giant Meta, formerly Facebook, is exploring a new influencer-focused live-streaming platform named “Super.”
Influencers can conduct live streams on the new site, make money off of them, and engage with viewers. It purportedly pays influencers $200 to $3,000 for using the app for 30 minutes. Super, which started development in late 2020, is now being worked on by Meta’s New Product Experimentation team. The article claims that Meta recently requested a number of creators to take part in the new initiative. Less than 100 creators are now testing the site, which seems to function similarly to Twitch. These creators include TikTok star Vienna Skye and tech influencer Andru Edwards.
