Till Saturday evening, DC were all set for the play-offs with only a win from their last match as they were ahead in run-rates in comparison to RCB, whereas RCB relied heavily on MI to win and gave them the path for the Top 4 as that will give RCB 16 points and end the chance for DC at 14 points.
