The NFT and Metaverse-related trademark applications for the name and logo of the British multinational universal bank HSBC were submitted. The United States Patents and Trademark Office (USPTO) received a filing from HSBC on December 15, 2022.
For use in online virtual worlds, HSBC plans to develop NFT-authenticated virtual commodities, including bank cards, cash cards, check cards, debit cards, and others. In the metaverse, there will also be virtual prepaid card transactions, virtual debit cards, and virtual credit cards.
