Hackers allegedly demanded Rs 200 crore in cryptocurrencies from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi, whose system had been down for six days in a row. The hack, discovered on Wednesday morning, is estimated to have exposed the personal information of 3-4 crore patients. Because the server was still down, patient care services in the emergency, outpatient, inpatient, and laboratory wings were managed manually, according to the report. The ransomware assault is being investigated by the Delhi Police, the Ministry of Home Affairs, and the India Computer Emergency Response Team. The Intelligence Fusion and Strategic Operations branch of the Delhi Police has filed an extortion and cyberterrorism case.
