For a four-year period from 2024 to 2027, Disney Star announced that it has leased ZEE Entertainment Enterprises the television broadcasting rights for all men’s and under-19 (U-19) international International Cricket Council (ICC) events.
Disney Star will continue to maintain the digital streaming rights for all ICC competitions for its Disney+Hotstar platform. The agreement’s financial terms were kept private between the two parties. The ICC has reportedly given the arrangement its in-principle approval, according to ZEE Entertainment. The arrangement will enable ZEE to air all ICC men’s competitions in the country, including the T20 World Cup in 2024 and 2026, the ICC Champions Trophy in 2025, and the ICC Cricket World Cup in 2027, among others.
