The financial year 2021–2022 (FY22) saw a more than 2X increase in sales for the D2C electronics brand boAt from INR 1,313.8 Cr to INR 2,872.9 Cr. Total income rose from INR 1,320.3 Cr in the previous fiscal year to INR 2,886.4 Cr, an increase of 117.5%.
For the startup, audio devices like earbuds and headphones continued to bring in the most revenue in FY22. Sales of audio products raised boAt’s revenue by 85.2%, or INR 1,228.5 Cr to INR 2,276 Cr . Sales of audio products made up about 80% of their operating revenue. The revenue from wearables, such as smart watches, increased by 841% to INR 515.5 Cr in FY22 from INR 54.8 Cr the year before.
