e-commerce platform Amazon India has seen the most growth in festive season sales, with 80% of shoppers coming from tier 2 and beyond cities. With 80% of customers coming from Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, mobiles and accessories witnessed strong double-digit growth this season when compared to the Amazon Great Indian Festival (AGIF) 2021 and 5 times higher when compared to regular business days. Although the company withheld total sales data for AGIF 2022, Manish Tiwary, vice president of Amazon India, said that “it has been the best-ever festival sale” for the business. According to Amazon, 2 lakh local retailers and 11 lakh vendors have actively participated.
